PHT PROJECT®
PHT PROJECT® is a motor learning method, in accordance with knowledges of different fields: martial arts, dance, sports techniques.
Motor learning is a complex process for acquisition of a new motor skill.
An active person by learning and actively practicing the PHT PROJECT® motion principles, may increase his/her own Performance, may maintain his/her own Health, and may treat, his/her own dysfunction by an effective therapeutic plan, Therapy.
The PHT PROJECT® key factor is the pelvis rotation that we’ll call helicoidal motor skill (HM)
In our method for every motor pattern, we’ll emphasize the helicoidal motor skill (HM) as model and will be applied to every real action. The HM is conforming with and compatible to the myofascial system fibres direction and most of the skeletal motor muscles (both proximal and distal muscles)
Assessing a subject by PHT PROJECT® method is effective in:
-
detecting impairments of patients/ athletes in his/her structures and/or in his/her functions.
Body structures are concerned in the musculoskeletal aspects, i.e. passive stability, muscular force, flexibility.
Body functions are concerned in the biomechanical aspects, i.e active stability and in the neurophysiological aspects, which include motor control, active stability, production of energy, inertial forces management.
Achieving PHT PROJECT® internal models is effective to reach:
1. body weight distribution between the lower limbs, by an effective pelvic active action
2. high-level pelvic function, by using couple of forces (torque) and short levier as centre of mass motor control tools
3. de-coupling between pelvic and scapular girdles, by muscular tonus fine tuning.
Characteristics of motor skill learning include improvement, stability, persistence, adaptability. It allows for the production of a new motor skill
In motor learning it is important to distinguish between learning and performance.
